Several of us had planned to attend the Potentates’ Ball in Toronto this past Saturday, however our travel plans were thwarted due to the ice and snow storm. So, in a reaction to make lemonade out of lemons, I decided to try a Potentates’ Ball – North, at the Club. An email went out, Lady Diane coordinated a pot-luck and “BAM!!” we had a ball. Of course we observed the same dress code as the official function and even The Potentate, Illustrious Sir Tom Woodrow was able to join us (see photo) and personally sent his regards (by phone). Thirteen of us shared in every way to make this evening literally, a last minute success. A great time was held by all.
